My guest is Ahnna Lise Stevens-Jennings. Lise is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary. She is the Director of Youth Ministries at Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Alexandria, Virginia, where she and her husband Garth live. She received bachelors degrees in religion and history from Emory & Henry College which is where she found her passion for the intersection between social justice and faith focusing on issues of race, class, gender, and sexuality. Ahnna Lise is also a self proclaimed nerd who loves table top role playing games, comic book conventions, and cats. We discuss the lectionary texts for the Eleventh Sunday after Pentecost (A): Genesis 45:1-15, Romans 11:1-2a, 29-32 and Matthew 15:21-28.
